HWA adds fifth DTM Mercedes, promotes Pascal Wehrlein

Mercedes has announced its team split for the 2014 DTM season, with flagship squad HWA expanding to five entries

The German firm has increased its DTM line-up from six to seven cars this year.

Formula 1 refugees Vitaly Petrov and Paul di Resta, the latter back in the DTM for the first time since winning the 2010 title with Mercedes, have joined team returnees Gary Paffett, Daniel Juncadella, Christian Vietoris, Robert Wickens and Pascal Wehrlein.

The latter is promoted to the fifth HWA entry, alongside di Resta, Paffett, Vietoris and Wickens.

Petrov slots into Wehrlein's place at Mucke, where he partners Juncadella.
