Jackson to race Priaulx's BMW
Mat Jackson will drive Andy Priaulx's world championship-winning BMW 320si in the British Touring Car Championship this year
The 25-year-old will continue to race for his family-run team Jacksons Motorsport, which took him to the SEAT Cupra title in 2006.
Jackson is confident that the car will be competitive in the BTCC as the series makes a full switch to the Super 2000 rules used in the WTCC.
"We've got a fantastic car at our disposal in the BMW," he said, "and we've set ourselves some very high targets.
"We will only find out where we are in terms of speed at Brands Hatch on April 1, but with one of the best cars built to Super 2000 rules I am confident we can hit the ground running."
"The only unknown is how the car will perform on the Dunlop tyres used in the BTCC," he added, "but the only way to find out is to get out there and test before the season begins."
Jackson is set to test the car for the first time next Wednesday at Oulton Park.
