Priaulx feels '07 was his best year
Andy Priaulx believes that his 2007 World Touring Car Championship success will go down as one of the best year's of his career
The British driver sealed his third consecutive world title by winning the final race of the season at Macau and, a week after the finale, he feels that his success has started to settle in.
"I'm sure when I will look back in 10 years time, I will say this has been one of my best years," said Priaulx. "They didn't make it easy for us this season.
"BMW managed to defend both titles, and this wasn't something we were able to hope for until the final lap of the first race in Macau."
The 33-year-old added that it was impossible to take in his achievement at the time in Macau last weekend, but he is now shifting his attention to staying at the top of his game.
"In Macau, the pressure was incredibly high over the course of the weekend," he said. "So soon after the race, it is impossible to relax for just a single moment and think about the events.
"I suppose you could say after all these wins the only way is down. But I'm not prepared to accept this.
"I feel my determination growing from one year to the next, and I will fight hard until the very end of my career to be on top."
