SS9, Lopigna - Sarrola I: Puras on top
Citroen's Jesus Puras was back on the pace, setting the fastest stage time on SS9, the 30.11km Lopigna-Sarrola I. He was seven seconds quicker than Frenchman Gilles Panizzi and has extended his advantage at the top of the leaderboard to 15 seconds
Didier Auriol was third fastest through the stage and remains third overall, 17.9s seconds behind his team mate, while Francois Delecour's fourth fastest time moves the Ford Focus driver ahead of Subaru's Petter Solberg and into fourth place on the leaderboard.
It was a case of 'lucky sevens' for Colin McRae - he set the seventh fastest stage time and has consolidated his seventh position overall. Richard Burns' Subaru was the fifth fastest and he has moved two seconds closer to McRae as the pair fight for championship points.
Alister McRae still lies in 11th overall with team mate Piero Liatti completing the leaderboard's top 10.
