Solberg rallies Subaru to push
Petter Solberg has urged his Subaru team to work together if they are to get back to the front before the end of the season
The Japanese manufacturer have five rallies left this season to take an outright victory, thereby avoiding their first win-less season since 1992.
Between them, Kronos Racing's Sebastien Loeb and Ford's Marcus Gronholm have won all 11 rallies held so far this year, while Solberg and his Subaru team have suffered from reliability problems and have rarely matched the pace of either.
At the team's home event of the Rally Japan least week, Solberg fell back with braking problems early in the first leg and eventually finished eighth.
"We watched the battle at the top of the rally and I wish I was involved," Solberg said.
"I can't wait to get back into those fights again, but for now we have some problems and we need to work together as a team to find the solutions.
"It's difficult not just for me, but everyone. There's a lot of hard work from all of us to be done and I hope that at the next event we can be getting a bit closer."
