Service J - Imperia: Notes and quotes

Gilles Panizzi (Peugeot) - rally leader: "SS13 was completely dry. I saw at the split time I was ahead of Loeb so eased off a little. SS14 was slippery and there was fog, but I had made the right tyre choice."

(Citroen) - second, +33.5s: "I took a little softer tyre than normal which seemed to work well. The visibility was bad in SS14 so I didn't take any risks."

(Peugeot) - third, +56.7s: "You know how I am in the fog, I am not British! If I had a six-speed gearbox I'm sure I would be closer to Panizzi than I am now. It was a bad feeling in SS13."

(Ford) - fourth, +1m39.7s: "It was raining at the end of SS13. I had made the wrong tyre choice on SS13 but the right one for SS14. If you had told Ford and I before this rally that we would have scored three points, we would have doubted it. But if we stay ahead of Travaglia, this is what we will get."

(Peugeot) - seventh, +3m04.0s: "We lost power steering after about 10km of SS13. There was nothing we could do, it was just bad luck. This has not been an easy rally."

(Subaru) - eighth, +3m17.2s: "We took too hard a tyre compound. We had bad tyre wear yesterday so I was afraid to go too soft. On SS14, visibility was down to 10 metres in some places."

(Ford) - tenth, +4m06.3 "There was a lot of fog on SS14, the road was damp and the cloud was low enough to put some moisture on the windscreen. Loeb is clearly the one to watch on Tarmac."

(Mitsubishi) - 11th, +4m14.5s: "I'm trying to get my confidence back after a big moment last night. The annoying thing is that we haven't time to do anything to the car before Corsica."

(Mitsubishi) - 12th, +5m30.4s: "The car is still not easy to drive. We need to do a lot of work on suspension and transmission. I also think we are losing a lot of time with the diffs."
