Service J - Harvey: The untouchable

Marcus Gronholm: (Peugeot) - rally leader: "I pushed but again I wasn't taking risks. It's just that the car is so good now. It's just like it was in the test. I feel quite confident."

(Subaru) - second, +24.4s: "I had a small problem with the gearbox on the last stage. It wouldn't change down beneath fourth gear - and sometimes it wouldn't change above fourth gear either. I lost a few seconds, but I'm not sure I could have done anything about Marcus' time anyway."

(Peugeot) - third, +43.6s: "The car is good now, but Marcus did an incredible time in that last stage."

(Ford) - fifth, +1m18.8s: Still struggling at being first on the road. "The roads were damp in these stages and it did make a difference, but not much. At least I was on the right tyres."

(Subaru) - sixth, +2m17.0s: "No real problems. I pushing hard and its quite good. It's better than I expected."

(Mitsubishi) - seventh, +2m28.4s: "I didn't understand what happened in the last stage. We were under heavy braking, the wheels didn't lock up but the car still stalled and then we spun. I lost a few seconds."

(Peugeot) - eighth, +2m57.9s: "For some reason I have lost the feeling today. I'm finding it hard to get confidence."

(Ford) - ninth, +4m03.3s: "The difference between the first cars on the road and those at the back was much smaller than in the dry. The times show that."

- 10th, +4m55.7s: "The roads were 100 percent damp but there were no puddles so you couldn't call them wet."

- 12th, +5m35.4s: "We arrived at the first stage quite early so I turned off the engine. Then when I got back into the car it would not start .There was a smell which I knew was the battery. I pushed the connections with a stick and managed to get it started." Loix was 13 minutes late going into the stage and incurred 2m10s of penalties.
