Gronholm not thinking of title
Marcus Gronholm says he will not be thinking about the championship in Turkey next weekend despite Sebastien Loeb's absence
The Finn trails Loeb by 35 points with just 40 still available this year, but his title hopes were handed a lifeline when the Citroen driver broke his arm last week.
"I'm not really thinking about the driver's championship at the moment," said Gronholm, "I will be driving in Turkey to win the rally and then I will go to Australia to try to do the same."
Loeb's return date is unknown at the moment, and Citroen are keen to make sure he doesn't return too early and suffer any long-term effects.
His replacement Colin McRae has been given instructions to push Gronholm, in the hope that the Finn will make a mistake and hand Loeb the title.
However, McRae is also under orders to score vital points for the manufacturers' championship, which Ford have set their sights on in Loeb's absence.
Gronholm added: "If we keep clear of big problems for the rest of the season then we have a very good chance of winning a championship - and the manufacturers' title looks our best option."
"I will try to avoid problems, avoid mistakes, and if everything goes well I hope to win this rally."
