H9: Montagny off but remains 2nd
Second place Franck Montagny's Pescarolo hit problems on the ninth hour of the Lemans 24-hour race, but while he lost some more ground to the leading Audi, the Frenchman managed to maintain second place
Montagny lost control of the car at Mulsanne corner with his No. 17 C60, spinning into the gravel. After a moment he managed to rejoin the track thanks to a push from the marshals, but he went back to the pits for a front nose change, which cost him several minutes and one lap from the leader.
The R10 TDI No. 8, now driven by Marco Werner, continues to lead the race after the German took the reins from Frank Biela. Meanwhile, the third placed Audi has been making up ground through the hour and was just two laps behind the Pescarolo at the turn of the clock.
In fourth place is the Racing for Holland's Dome with Stefan Johansson still at the wheel.
Next down and leading the GT1 class is the Stephane Sarrazin's No. 009 Aston Martin, followed by Jan Magnussen's Corvette close to a lap behind.
The top LMP2 car is still Andy Wallace's MG-Lola, although it lost some time due to a lengthy pitstop. The Lola driven by Miguel Paes de Amaral is in second place three laps behind.
The GT2 class is led by the No. 83 Seikel Motorsports's Porsche with Pierre Ehret doing the driving.
