19h10m Anthony Davidson has been in again for tyres and fuel in the #1 Peugeot. Despite his rapid lap times, he's still a lap down on the Audi pair with the leader matching his 3m22s pace on that last tour.
19h11m The nose is going back on the #95 Ferrari 430 currently piloted by Giancarlo Fisichella, but the team has lost two places so far as a result of the accident, with the #97 BMW Porsche 997 leapfrogging the team.
19h12m The #26 Highcroft HPD is back into the pits, and the team look like they want to take a long look at this - in it goes into the garage and off comes the engine cover.
19h14m The #009 Lola-Aston Martin has taken another off track excursion but Juan Barazi is back underway after slaloming through the tyres at the second chicane.
19h14m Toni Vilander on Eurosport confirms that there was a technical problem with the #95 Ferrari. "I don't know how Giancarlo kept it on track," Vilander says. A podium isn't out of the question but it's certainly a major set back for the team.
19h16m It seems Jean Alesi has gone back into the #95 Ferrari, at least according to Giancarlo Fisichella on Twitter.
19h17m There's an Aston off again at the first chicane - this time the #008.
19h18m Marino Franchitti heads back out once again in the #26 Highcroft HPD, and the team will be crossing fingers, toes and anything else they can get their hands on that they finally have the problem fixed.
19h19m Pierre Ragues is driving #008 and has ended up in an unusual position in the gravel towards the exit of the first Mulsanne chicane. He is currently waiting for a tow to safety by the marshals.
19h19m Louis Machiels in the #75 Prospeed Porsche 997 runs wide and drags a chunk of gravel out onto the circuit - he keeps it going though and is able to rejoin still in seventh.
19h21m Confirmation that the #26 Highcroft HPD has been suffering from a Cooling System Pressure issue.
19h23m Andy Wallace moves into a third consecutive stint at the wheel of the #25 RML Lola-HPD, which is currently fourth overall, just one lap down from the #35 OAK Lola HPD.
19h24m #008 has several laps over the #6 Oreca AIM car but that advantage is being eroded by this off in the first chicane gravel, where it currently remains.
19h24m A tractor is currently pulling #008 to safety and that car should be able to get back to the pits with front-end damage.
19h25m Meanwhile up front, Davidson in the #1 Peugeot has caught the #8 Audi and unlaps himself on the second-placed car.
19h27m Well, he ran wide a few laps ago and now Louis Machiels has beeched the #75 Prospeed Porsche 997 - he'll need a tow out after that one.
19h28m With the leading #9 car around 40 seconds ahead of the #8 Audi in the current pitstop phase, that means Davidson is now about four minutes off the lead.
19h28m The #26 Highcroft HPD is back in the pits and you have to worry whether they will be able to make it back out, let alone complete the last four and a half hours of the race. "It doesn't look good," Marco Werner confirms.
19h30m The #008 Lola-Aston Martin is touring slowly back to the pits and seems to have left some debris at the kink heading down to Indianapolis.
19h30m Machiels rejoins the track in the #75 Porsche, but not before a second sharing of gravel with the rest of the field.
19h30m A brave marshal runs out to pick up that debris from a very fast part of the circuit and the need for the safety car is thankfully avoided.
19h31m Ralph Meichtry into the pits in the #28 Radical SR9-Judd, currently running in seventh in LMP2.
19h32m #008 has finally made it back to the Lola-Aston Martin garage and needs quite a bit of work to refurbish the front end.
19h33m Finally the #95 Ferrari 430 rejoins after that reported technical fault which derailed Fisichella at Indianpolis. The team lost three places in the pitlane, are are now fifth after also being jumped by the #78 BMW M3.
19h35m Confirmation from Spyker that they are nearing a return to the circuit, having only managed 219 laps thus far.
19h37m Davidson in the #1 car gets it all wrong at the pit entry and he ran wide over the kerbs pushing very hard.
19h38m Davidson does make it down the pitlane after an airbourne moment over those kerbs and is handing over to Alex Wurz.
19h38m It has been a very impressive stint from Davidson in the #1, which continues to chase down the leading Audis.
19h39m Matthieu Lahaye lapping well in the #35 Pescarolo-Judd, with his last tour being around seven seconds faster than the lead #42 Strakka HPD. He's got seven laps to make up though...
19h39m It has been a tough morning for the Lola-Aston Martin crews and now the #009 car has been for a spin at Arnarge.
19h40m Darren Turner is going to take over #009 after Juan Barazi makes it back to the pits.
19h44m The #008 Aston is still undergoing repairs from that earlier crash damage and is soon to fall behind the Oreca AIM.
19h45m Jean Alesi with a good outlap in the #95 Ferrari 430, which looks to have recovered from its earlier technical problems.
19h47m In the other Audi vs Peugeot battle, Allan McNish in the #7 is clocked around 90 seconds ahead of the #4 Oreca Peugeot. Loic Ducal is pressing on in that car and closing on fourth place by three to five seconds per lap.
19h48m The #85 Spyker heads back into the pits for quick checks after its lengthy spell being fixed up. Jorg Muller meanwhile has limped the #78 BMW M3, which seems to have some sort of technical problem, back into garage.
19h50m Wurz in the #1 Peugeot is slower than the Audis with his first flying lap - in the 3m27s. The Austrian will need to get back on the rapid pace his team-mate Davidson was setting if that car is to have any chance of winning the race.
19h50m Not the most positive of comments coming from the #26 Highcroft HPD squad, who seem to be resigned to their fate - although they're talking about getting out at the end to ensure they're classified.
19h54m #008 remains in the Signature Plus garage and has now fallen behind the Oreca AIM.
19h56m Meanwhile the leading #9 Audi has been in a squabble with the Strakka Racing LMP2 leader. Dumas was caught behind the HPD in the final complex and came pretty close to contact with the #42.
