Tander wins again in race two
Toll Holden Racing Team's Garth Tander made it two from two with victory in race two of this weekend's Hamilton 400 in New Zealand
Tander led from start to finish apart from a brief period during the compulsory pit stops. Steven Richards took second place after gaining a place during the pit stops and closed in on Tander towards the end of the race but never looked like passing him.
James Courtney completed the top three in a fairly lonely race for him, though in the closing laps Lee Holdsworth began closing in on him, Holdsworth having recovered from a slow pitstop earlier in the race, with Cameron McConville completing the top five.
After finishing second in race one, Rick Kelly looked set for another top=three in race two. But a slow pit stop cost him two places, before Lee Holdsworth and McConville overtook with three laps remaining.
His older brother Todd looked set for an even better result, despite his drama yesterday. Gaining two places at the start, and then another two during the pitstops, he was running well before losing ground in the middle of the race, hitting the tyres at turn seven and eventually drifting back to 19th.
