Tander scores Queensland pole
Toll HSV Dealer Team's Garth Tander has taken pole position for this weekend's V8 Supercar action at Queensland Raceway
Tander was second fastest in qualifying, and went three tenths faster in the shootout to take pole position. Alongside Tander will be Ford Performance Racing's Jason Bright, who took pole at the previous rounds.
The top five was completed Stone Brothers Racing's rookie Jamie Courtney, Tander's teammate Rick Kelly and Triple Eight's Jamie Whincup. It was Courtney's first ever top ten shootout and Ingall's second top ten appearance in 2006, for the team that has won the last three championship titles.
After being four-tenths clear on top in qualifying, Holden Racing Team's Mark Skaife was slower in the shootout to drop to eighth position, just ahead of Jack Daniel's Racing's Steven Richards.
A couple of drivers who surprisingly missed the top ten were Craig Lowndes and Todd Kelly, who will start from twelfth and thirteenth respectively.
Another driver to struggle was Tasman Motorsport's Jason Richards, who will start from 23rd.
