Another Busch win for Harvick

Kevin Harvick continued to dominate the 2006 Busch championship with his ninth season win at Texas Motor Speedway tonight

Harvick won the O'Reilly Challenge 300 ahead of fellow Cup driver Tony Stewart by a mere 0.862 seconds - and it's just as well the race ended when it did, because Harvick ran out of fuel just as he crossed the finish line.

Harvick is now one victory shy of equalling Sam Ard's record of ten wins in a single Busch season, which Ard set in 1983.

Harvick can break the record if he wins the final two rounds of the season - next weekend at Phoenix, Arizona, and the season finale in Homestead, Florida.

"Its just been one of those years where everything has gone right," Harvick said at victory lane.

NASCAR rookie Juan Pablo Montoya had a tough second Busch race, finishing 28th and three laps behind winner Harvick.

Montoya, who started from tenth, had to enter the pits for repairs on the formation lap, which meant he already began the race from the rear.

And, despite making his way steadily up the order, the Colombian made an error, brushing the car across the wall and damaging his Dodge car.
