Busch plans triple duty again

Following the disappointment of his attempt to win in all three major NASCAR categories last weekend, Kyle Busch is set to make a second attempt at 'triple-duty' this weekend, although he will only compete at two different tracks this time

The current Sprint Cup points leader will however face a very busy Saturday, as he will take part in two Cup practice sessions, plus Trucks qualifying and the race at Michigan, before heading to Kentucky where he will compete in the Nationwide Series event.

He will drive once again for Billy Ballew in the Truck Series and he is set to return behind the wheel of a Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota in the Nationwide Series after five races competing for Braun Racing.

"We'll compete in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Michigan and get right down to it and see what we have there," said Busch. "It's going to be a busy day for me, but days like that almost feel normal to me now.

"It's going to be fun to get back in a JGR car and back with Jason Ratcliff and the guys on the 18 team. I know we have good equipment, so before I even get to Kentucky, I know we're going to have a shot at winning the race."

Busch will have to start from the back of the grid at Saturday night's Nationwide race at Kentucky, as 23-year-old Jeremy Clements will practice and qualify his car while Busch is still at Michigan.

On Sunday he will be back in Michigan for the Sprint Cup Series' Lifelock 400.
