Stoner tops final practice

Casey Stoner continued his strong Brno form by dominating the final practice session before qualifying for the Czech Grand Prix

He was six tenths faster than Suzuki's John Hopkins - who has been the championship leader's main rival for most of the weekend so far.

Kawasaki rider Randy de Puniet completed the top three, 0.937 seconds slower than Stoner.

Again the best Michelin runner was over a second off the pace, as Yamaha's Colin Edwards took fourth place, ahead of Loris Capirossi and Chris Vermeulen. Edwards' title-chasing teammate Valentino Rossi was only 12th quickest.

Dunlop Tech 3 Yamaha rider Sylvain Guintoli suggested that his star performance on Friday was not a one-off as he took seventh place this morning.

Having missed afternoon practice yesterday after developing neck pains, Gresini Honda's Marco Melandri also sat out this morning's session. There is currently no news on whether he will be able to participate in qualifying and the race.
