Stoner expects to be even stronger

MotoGP championship leader Casey Stoner believes that he will be even stronger on some of the circuits still remaining this season

The Australian currently leads the championship by 44 points from Valentino Rossi, but he has said that some of Ducati's strongest tracks are still to come this year.

"We are coming to some tracks where even at the beginning of the season I thought we would be strong," said Stoner.

"I enjoy the circuits coming up. We are coming to some circuits now that suit me and the Ducati a little more."

Stoner hinted that he was referring to the flyaway races that are coming up later in the season, as he feels that he can be stronger at those events than he has been on the European tracks.

"I like the European circuits a lot," he said. "But for me it's sometimes a little bit difficult to be so fast compared to the other riders."

Stoner has won six of the 11 races so far this season, and three of those victories have been scored in Europe.
