Stoner concerned by lack of practice

The grid will be formed on practice times, giving Stoner second place behind Valentino Rossi.

The riders were able to have 45 minutes of dry running yesterday and 45 minutes in the wet this morning, but with the majority of pre-season testing having been in good weather, Stoner said he has little experience of the 2009 Ducati on a wet track.

"Maybe we can get lucky with the setting run across something that we never would've had we used all the sessions, but I definitely would've liked a little bit more time in the wet," he said.

"I've only done I think three laps before this morning's session with this bike in rain conditions. So I would've liked more time, but that's the way things played out.

"It's a little bit disappointing, we've had an hour and a half of sessions before the race, so it's going to be a little bit difficult."

But he believes Ducati managed to find a good enough set-up during the track time that the field managed before the downpour.

"Hopefully we can be pretty happy with both settings," said Stoner.

"In the dry we're reasonably happy, we feel we've got a competitive package. Not exactly where we want it to be, but still good enough. In the wet this morning we felt we were heading in the right direction.

"No matter what the conditions are, we should be competitive enough."
