Pedrosa pleased to be back on podium

Dani Pedrosa said he was happy to be on the podium after finishing second in Brno, having crashed out of the lead of the US GP at Laguna Seca three weeks ago

The Honda rider, who lies second in the MotoGP world championship standing 77 points behind Jorge Lorenzo, started from pole in Brno but was passed by the Yamaha man into Turn 3 and then couldn't match him for pace thereafter.

"I started well, but in the first left corner I was little bit too slow and I got overtaken," said Pedrosa. "The left side of the tyre was very cold when I started the race and the first corner I was a little bit concerned, maybe too much, and he got passed me.

"After that I tried to do my best rhythm, but I wasn't really comfortable. I was spinning up the rear and I couldn't get the drive I like.

"But anyway I fight my best. Then Jorge was pulling away a little per lap and I just tried to hold him, but it was not possible. Second place after my crash in Laguna is okay, to be back on the podium is good."
