MotoGP reveals 25-bike entry list for 2015 season

The majority of next year's deals had already been revealed prior to the official announcement of the entry list ahead of this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang.

Honda and Yamaha retain their current rider line-ups of Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, and Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo respectively, while Ducati replaces LCR-bound Cal Crutchlow with Andrea Iannone alongside Andrea Dovizioso.

Suzuki returns after a three-year absence. Leading Open class protagonist Aleix Espargaro and 2013 Moto3 champion Maverick Vinales, who is currently racing in Moto2, are its riders.

The entry list confirms that the British Paul Bird Motorsport team will step down from MotoGP at the end of 2014 after three seasons in the top class.

But fellow underdog Ioda Racing is still on the entry list despite its current partner Aprilia linking up with former Honda satellite team Gresini for a new works project.

The Ioda seat - on a bike to be confirmed - and the second Gresini Aprilia ride alongside Alvaro Bautista are the only gaps remaining on the entry list.

Avintia is shown as retaining Hector Barbera and Mike di Meglio as it switches fully to customer Ducatis.

Barbera has had one of the Italian bikes since Misano last month, while di Meglio persists with Avintia's existing FTR-Kawasaki bike.
