MotoGP's ruling body, FIM, has announced the creation of a new trophy that will be awarded to this year's world champions

The trophy, created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix, will be awarded to the world champion of each class in the final round of the season in Valencia.

The new award will bear the names of the first world champions in 1949.

The 125cc world champion will receive the Nello Pagani Trophy, the 250cc champion the Bruno Ruffo Trophy, and the MotoGP champion the Leslie Graham Trophy.
