Rea: Honda MotoGP test unbelievable

The 23-year-old from Northern Ireland, who has finished in the top five in World Superbikes for Ten Kate Honda in both his seasons in the championship, had a four-day run with Honda's MotoGP test team at Sepang. The originally-scheduled three-day session was extended to make up for time lost to rain.

"Riding the RC212V has been an unbelievable experience for me," said Rea.

"A four-day test is a dream that became true and I am really happy that HRC invited me here in Sepang."

Rea said that by Friday he was feeling totally comfortable on the MotoGP Honda, despite having not totally recovered from a wrist injury sustained at the Imola Superbike event.

"I started feeling the bike is 'my bike' and I had some good feeling riding it," he said. "I hope I have been able to give the engineers some useful comments, even if my physical condition was not the best because my wrist is still not 100 per cent."

Although he has been linked to a future in MotoGP, Rea emphasised that he was only thinking about his next Superbike campaign at present.

"Now I will have some rest for the end of the year, and then I will be focused on my job of 2011, that is the World Superbike Championship," he said. "Thanks again to everybody in Honda for the great experience."
