125cc: Corsi takes narrow Estoril win

Simone Corsi has taken his second victory in three races at the Portuguese Grand Prix and increased his championship lead in the 125cc series

The Jack & Jones Aprilia rider, who started the race from pole position, narrowly won over Belson Derbi's Joan Olive by three tenths of a second after taking the lead on lap 17 of the 23-lap race.

Corsi's teammate Nicolas Terol went to the last step of the podium after finishing six seconds behind the leading duo. The Spaniard was with the leaders for the first half of the race, as was Briton Bradley Smith.

The Polaris World rider overtook Terol for third on lap 13 but then crashed out seconds later with a high-side and a tumble in the gravel.

The two Degraaf Aprilias of Steve Bonsey and Daniel Webb ended the race in fourth and fifth place, followed by reigning champion Gabor Talmacsi (Bancaja Aspar) in sixth and Mike di Meglio (Ajo Motorsport) in seventh.

Grizzly Gas's Stefan Bradl finished eighth, ahead of Aspar's Sergio Gadea and Emmi's Sandro Cortese rounding up the top ten.
