125cc: Terol on provisional pole at Jerez

Nicolas Terol set the quickest time in first qualifying for the 125cc race at Jerez on Sunday after snatching the top spot from Pol Espargaro with three minutes of the session remaining

Espargaro ended up fifth after a string of riders beat his time right at the end of the session.

Simone Corsi finished second, ahead of Briton Bradley Smith and Stefan Bradl who both also bettered Espargaro's benchmark in the dying moments.

Gabor Talmacsi and Pablo Nieto held top six spots for almost all of the session, but ended up 11th and 13th respectively when they couldn't improve their times on their last two laps.

Sergio Gadea, who won the opening round of the year in Qatar, was 10th quickest, just behind 15-year-old Briton Scott Redding.
