Moto2: Kallio takes Valencia pole
Mika Kallio has taken pole position ahead of tomorrow's 250cc season finale at Valencia
The KTM rider, ninth in yesterday's first qualifying session, managed today to set a time of 1:35.166, good enough to beat newly-crowned world champion Jorge Lorenzo to second.
The Spanish Aprilia rider was 0.167 seconds behind the Finn, with the Honda of Yuki Takahashi a further three tenths back.
Marco Simoncelli qualified fourth with his Gilera, ahead of the Aprilias of Hector Barbera and Alvaro Bautista in fifth and sixth respectively.
Julian Simon's Honda was seventh, with Alex Debon's Aprilia eight, Alex de Angelis's Aprilia ninth, and Andrea Dovizioso's Honda rounding up the top ten.
