Townsend Bell will return to the Indianapolis 500 this year in a Chevrolet-powered car entered by Dreyer & Reinbold-Kingdom Racing.
Bell, who turns 40 this week, has made eight previous appearances at the Brickyard, including one with Dreyer & Reinbold in 2008.
"We are extremely pleased to have Townsend back in our car for the Indianapolis 500," said team owner Dennis Reinbold.
"Townsend has proven to be a contender at Indy for many years, including last year's event when he was running second with 10 laps to go."
Bell's career best result at the 500 is fourth, which he achieved in 2009 with KV Racing Technology.
The sportscar regular ran as high as second in last year's race, again with KV, before a late crash left him classified 25th.
