Baltimore Indy Lights: Jack Hawksworth takes dominant win

Jack Hawksworth scored a comfortable Indy Lights win around the streets of Baltimore

From pole position the Brit led every lap. The race ran under yellows on two occasions, and the restarts were the only time the Sam Schmidt driver was under any pressure.

He resisted this with ease to claim his third win of the season and give his title hopes a huge boost.

Sage Karam made a great start from fourth, and while he managed a good run on Hawksworth on the first restart, he spent the first part of the second leg fending off Gabby Chaves in a Schmidt 1-2-3. Second has given Karam the points lead.

Chaves was well clear of Irishman Peter Dempsey, but it was a poor race for title hopeful Carlos Munoz. The Andretti Autosport driver crashed into the wall. A braking issue was suspected to have caused the accident.
