Daytona 24 Hours: DeltaWing leads practice with Katherine Legge
The DeltaWing topped the only dry session of the Daytona 24 Hours build-up in the hands of Katherine Legge
The DeltaWing-Elan/Mazda DWC13 went fastest with Andy Meyrick and Sean Rayhall at the wheel over the course of the one-hour Friday free practice period before Legge posted a 1m38.590s.
That put the Panoz DeltaWing Racing entry three tenths up on Olivier Pla's second-placed time of 1m39.745s aboard the Michael Shank Racing Ligier-Honda JSP2.

Third place was taken by Johannes van Overbeek in the Extreme Speed Motorsports Ligier-Honda with a 1m39.745s.
The fastest Daytona Prototype was the Wayne Taylor Racing Dallara-Chevrolet Corvette DP in which Max Angelelli set a 1m40.557s to take fifth position on the timesheets.
The pole-winning SMP Racing BRE-Nissan BR01 stopped on circuit with an engine problem early in a session interrupted by two red flags.
QUALIFYING REPORT: Pole for Aleshin but Tandy's GT Porsche fastest
The GT Le Mans field was led by Bill Auberlen in the best of the Rahal BMW M6 GTLMs.
His time of 1m44.966s put him ahead of team-mate Lucas Luhr, who ended up on a 1m45.199s.
Alessandro Pier Guidi was third fastest in class in Scuderia Corsa's Ferrari 488 GTE on a 1m45.232s.
Earl Bamber took fourth in the quickest of the CORE-run factory Porsche 911 RSRs.
Tom Kimber-Smith was fastest in the Prototype Challenge class for the PR1/Mathiasen squad and Jorg Bergmeister quickest in GTD aboard the pole-winning Park Place Porsche 911 GT3-R.
