Wendlinger on pole in Oschersleben

Karl Wendlinger led a JetAlliance Aston Martin one-two in FIA GT Championship qualifying at Oschersleben

The Austrian, who will co-drive with Ryan Sharp in tomorrow's two-hour race, beat teammate Alex Muller to pole by 0.102 seconds.

Championship leaders Christophe Bouchut and Xavier Maaassen will start third in the SRT Corvette, ahead of Jose Maria Lopez, who produced the star performance of the day to get the ACA Argentina Ferrari 550 onto the outside of row two.

The sole GT1 Ferrari has languished at the back of the pack so far this year, but in his second outing in the car Lopez took it to within 0.294 seconds of pole position.

The best of the Maserati MC12s was Michael Bartels' Vitaphone example in fifth place, just over six tenths of a second off the pace.

AF Corse Ferrari continued their domination of GT2, as championship leaders Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander claimed class pole ahead of teammates Christian Montanari and Thomas Biagi.
