Monras joins MW Arden for GP3
Spanish teenager Miki Monras has become the latest recruit to the new GP3 Series, signing for the MW Arden team
The 18-year-old graduates to GP3 from Formula Renault, where he finished fourth in the WEC series and fifth in the Eurocup last year.
"Everyone at MW Arden is delighted to have Miki on our GP3 programme," said Arden team manager Julian Rouse. "He is a young very talented driver who competed right at the front of a very competitive European championship in 2009 and has also shown great consistency in his race results. We are very confident he has the ability to be competing right at the front straight away in GP3."
Monras joins Danish driver Michael Christensen in MW Arden's line-up.
"It will be a season where all teams start from zero and so I have plenty of confidence in MW Arden to be really competitive and fight together for the leading places in GP3," said Monras. "I am really looking forward to test the new GP3 and to work with the team."
GP3's first test takes place next week, with the opening rounds supporting the Spanish Grand Prix in May.
