Weber happy to help Ammermuller
Team Germany boss Willi Weber says that Michael Ammermuller deserved a chance to prove himself after a difficult year in 2007
The young German started the season racing in GP2 with ART, but he injured his hand at the start of the year, and he was later replaced permanently by Sebastien Buemi.
He then switched to the World Series by Renault, but at the end of the season he was dropped from Red Bull's young driver programme.
However, the 21-year-old won for Team Germany in only his second A1GP weekend, and Weber believes that there is more to come during the rest of the season.
"Michael scored his first personal win of the season, and his career is back on track," he said.
"I rate him as a highly talented guy who has deserved his chance in international motorsport, so I am very happy.
"His time will come, and if he will have an incident-free race next time, he will be right up there with the top contenders again."
