UK oval racing Golden Jubilee at ASI
The annual Oval Racing Experience promotion will be self-contained in Hall 11 of the NEC, near Birmingham, over the weekend of the 2004 Autosport International show in January. Organiser Malcolm Forbes noted: "The relocation of the Oval Racing Experience to form an integral part of Autosport International will help us to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our sport, and enable our exhibitors to showcase their products from a prime position."
The Oval Racing Experience will include an Historic section with racecars from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, and a stage for celebrity interviews, competitions and awards, in addition to new car and product launches. Oval racing of all types will also be featured in the show's 4500-seat Live Action Arena.
The oval racing bodies represented will be BRISCA F1, Grand Prix Midgets, National Autograss Association, the National Off Road Association, Santa Pod Raceway and Spedeworth International.
The associated trade exhibitors will include Autosport Models, Avon Racing Tyres, Blyton Motorsport Complex, British Racing Green, Chequered Post, CKW Distribution, Dragon Motorsport, Dragon Racewear, Elite Design, GB Engineering, Harvey Fabrication, Irvin Leisure, Jay Pee, Kent Cams, Kimka, Randall Motorsport, S&S Motorsport and Spitfire Multispark.
