UK motorsport meets aerospace

The Motorsport Industry Association has produced a new booklet highlighting the participation of British motorsport companies in next week's Farnborough International Air Show and to encourage technology transfer between the sectors. Where Motorsport Meets Aerospace will be available to all those attending the 'Motorsport Valley' Pavilion at the event over July 19-25

The MIA's pavilion will be the first such facility created to develop links between aerospace and motorsport and this will be the first time that a non-aerospace industry sector has been represented at Farnborough International, one of the world's biggest technology-led events.

The MIA's CEO, Chris Aylett, commented: "Motorsport and aerospace have many synergies. Both sectors are destined to build a long and successful business partnership. I encourage all aerospace companies to visit the Motorsport Valley Pavilion at Farnborough International, to explore opportunities for technology transfer and grow their business. We are strongly committed to opening new business channels for our members and this latest venture reflects our innovative approach."

The MIA's project manager for Farnborough, Pim van Baarsen, added: "The aerospace sector offers lucrative and exciting opportunities for our industry, both as customers and suppliers, and our participation at Farnborough will help to open many doors."
