The biggest racing weekend of the 2009 season so far put a legend back on top, as Jeff Gordon finally found his way back to victory lane in the NASCAR Sprint Cup at Texas.
Another superstar continued his dominant run, with Sebastien Loeb streaking ahead in the Rally of Portugal, while elsewhere new stars made an impact, with Aston Martin winning on its LMP1 debut in the Le Mans Series, Ryan Briscoe underlining his title credentials in the IndyCar Series opener in St Petersburg - despite Justin Wilson's best efforts - and Motorbase Performance shaking things up in the British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch.
