Second important to Wilson, Doornbos
Justin Wilson and Robert Doornbos have both said that they are determined to finish second in this year's Champ Car standings
While Sebastien Bourdais wrapped up his fourth-straight title last time out at Surfers Paradise, Wilson and Doornbos believe that finishing second behind the French driver still means a lot.
"Finishing second in the championship is really important to the whole team and everyone at RuSPORT is determined to go out on top," said Wilson, who is preparing for his team's final race before they leave the series.
"Mexico City has always been a successful event for us as a team, so we're looking forward to going out and getting pole position and will be trying hard to win the race.
"If we can do that we'll have a good shot at getting second in the championship."
Doornbos briefly led the standings during the middle of the season, but despite not being able to keep up with Bourdais in the title fight, the Minardi Team USA driver is keen to finish his rookie season on a high.
"Even though the championship has already been decided, I would like to announce a very hard battle for who will become vice-champion in 2007," he said.
"I trust my team and engineers' experience, and with my motivation being as high as at the start of the season, I'm sure we can do a good job."
Wilson is currently eight points ahead of Doornbos heading into this weekend's season finale.
