Pescarolo win to secure titles
Pescarolo Sport claimed their fourth successive victory at Donington Park to clinch both the teams' and the drivers' championship in this year's Le Mans Series
Emmanuel Collard and Jean-Cristophe Boullion needed only a point to secure the title at the penultimate round, but completed a comfortable victory to continue their 100 per cent sweep of all LMS rounds this season.
The win was despite two early stop and go penalties, the first awarded for Boullion cutting a corner and uprooting a marker and the second for stopping in the wrong place in his pit.
Didier Andre also completed a stint in the car at the British circuit to help the team to a two-lap winning margin.
Running two cars for the first time this season, Creation locked out the other two spots on the podium.
Nicolas Minassian and Kevin McGarrity claimed second while Jamie Campbell-Walter, Felipe Ortiz and Beppe Gabbiani took third in the number 9 car.
Despite leading early on, the latter had a slow pitstop in the second hour because of a right-rear brake disc problem, and Gabbiani being awarded a penalty for passing under yellow flags.
The Lola MG of Tommy Erdos and Mike Newton snatched a late LMP2 victory when the class leading Rollcentre Radical failed to start up after their final pitstop.
Antonio Garcia also took a late victory in GT1 in the Team Modena Aston Martin, when he passed Jerome Policand's Corvette which had brake problems after sustaining collision damage half an hour from the end.
