Pescarolo confirm two-car effort

Pescarolo Sport have confirmed that they will enter two cars in this year's Le Mans Series and the Le Mans 24 Hours

The French squad are building their own cars this year, as they prepare to battle against the diesel-powered cars from Audi and Peugeot at Le Mans.

The team have won the LMS title for the past two years, but they will have to overcome the challenge from Peugeot in the six-round series this year.

Team boss Henri Pescarolo said: "I am pleased to confirm that Pescarolo Sport will be running a two-car team, not only at Le Mans, but also during the LMS.

"Alongside Jean-Christophe Boullion and Emmanuel Collard, who will race one of our cars, I can confirm that Harold Primat will form part of a strong driver line-up for the second car."

Pescarolo is also targeting a successful defence of the team's LMS title, despite Peugeot's factory effort in the championship.

He said: "I believe that our drivers will be able to play a full part in our 2007 objective: to keep our titles in the LMS by taking the challenge to the new Peugeot works team."
