Perrott storms Cambrian
Although Perrott had opened up a 20-second lead by the service at Ruthin after Ceen overshot a junction on Clocaenog East, the ANCRO championship regular began to apply pressure in the afternoon.

Ceen reduced the gap to four seconds after winning both Penmachno South and North. But when heavy fog fell for the final stage at Great Orme, he backed off.
Perrott went through the stage flat out and claimed the win by 30 seconds. Jon Ingram took third position in his Subaru Impreza.
Ingram had run second early on, but dropped to third when he hit a rock at a hairpin in Clocaenog East. The stage also caught out Ford Escort driver Hugh Hunter, who spun twice. He later rolled out on Penmachno South.
Others to hit trouble were Shaun Gardener (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 5), who broke a driveshaft and Theo Bengry (Ford Focus WRC), who retired with gearbox problems.
Stuart Jones won the Silver Star category in his Proton Satria. He beat Ford Escort pilots Robin Bradbury and Keith Wilde. James Wozencroft won the Silkolene 1400 class in his Vauxhall Nova.
