F3 star Watts flies on FFord debut
Watts was a late addition to the entry list after Wayne Poole lent him his Mygale SJ01 FF1600. Watts missed Saturday's heats due to commitments at Pembrey, but won Sunday's Last Chance qualifier from the back of the grid. He was leading the race within two laps of the start and won from David Leslie.

He then came through from 30th in the semi-final to finish second to Joey Foster. He eventually finished the event as runner-up, again losing out to Foster in the final. "I'd say I started 87th and finished second," said Watts. "I'd never driven a Formula Ford in my life and it was something completely different."
"I've never been so sideways! Woodcote is easy flat in a Formula 3, but on Sunday I was coming through there facing race control!"
Watts' outing in the BRDC's FF1600 blue-riband event was arranged by the club's James Beckett after a chance meeting last week. Watts is sponsored by the BRDC and event sponsor Embassy Racing.
Watts has no firm plans for next year, but will race in next weekend's Macau Grand Prix for Hitech Racing.
