McIntosh settling back in
Sean McIntosh says that he is feeling more comfortable in an A1GP car this weekend as he prepares for only his second race of the season
The 21-year-old won the feature race at Sentul last February, but that turned out to be his final outing of the season as Patrick Carpentier was drafted in for the rest of the season.
McIntosh then missed the start of this season due to World Series by Renault commitments, but he took over the race duties from James Hinchcliffe last time out in Malaysia.
"It's definitely taken a little while to get used the A1GP car again, but I'm feeling much better with it this weekend," McIntosh told autosport.com.
Like his World Series teammate Robbie Kerr, McIntosh has had to get used to the difference in downforce levels between the two cars.
"In the World Series car you can push to the absolute limit, but for A1GP you have to bring yourself back a bit because you don't have the same aerodynamic performance," he added.
The Canadian driver is also in good spirits this weekend as it marks a return to the scene of his remarkable victory from the back of the grid last season.
"When you come back to a place where you have gone well before it immediately makes you feel good for the weekend," he said.
"We have a little bit of time to find, but I don't think there are many teams that are genuinely faster than us here."
