Kerr takes home pole for GBR
Robbie Kerr (Team Great Britain) took pole position in the dying seconds of a thrilling A1GP qualifying session at Brands Hatch this afternoon
Kerr fought off a strong challenge from Team Germany's Nico Hulkenberg, and recovered from a spin on his final out-lap to post a time just good enough to claim pole.
After an unimpressive practice, Enrico Toccacelo put Team Italy back in contention with a series of strong qualifying laps today. He ended up fourth, one place behind Team France's Loic Duval.
Narain Karthikeyan kept up Team India's good weekend with fifth, one spot ahead of the improving Malaysian car driven by Alex Yoong.
Team USA had looked promising in practice, but their driver Jonathan Summerton crashed on his first flying lap and only just made it out in time to complete his two laps. He did well to qualify 11th.
