Kerr joins ALMS for final two rounds
Robbie Kerr will race an LMP2 Acura for Highcroft Racing in the final two ALMS rounds of the year
The British driver will team up with Stefan Johansson and David Brabham for Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, and the season finale at Laguna Seca in October.
"The Highcroft Acura team are front-runners in the LMP2 category of the American Le Mans series and it's great that they want me to partner Stefan and David," said Kerr.
"This is a great opportunity for me to drive with two drivers whose experience I can draw from."
Kerr, who competed in the Le Mans 24 Hours in a Zytek earlier this year, tested with the team at Road Atlanta on Monday.
"The test at Road Atlanta went well," he added. "It was my first time on the road course and I only had limited running, but I was on the pace of the other drivers so I'm happy."
Team boss Duncan Dayton said: "We're very happy to have Robbie on board for Petit Le Mans and Laguna Seca. He has demonstrated over the course of his career that he has what it takes to excel in sportscar racing."
