Enge gets late call-up for NZ
Tomas Enge will race for Team Czech Republic in New Zealand this weekend after Jarek Janis was prevented from racing by doctors
Janis was due to drive the car because Enge has been preparing for the Daytona 24 Hours, but the team took the decision to draft in the former Grand Prix driver.
Team boss Antonin Charouz said: "We had wanted to race with Jarek this weekend but we had to change our plans after his health problems.
"We were thinking of both Tomas and Jan (Charouz). Both have been preparing for Daytona."
The decision to choose Enge means that the Czech team will not have a driver taking part in Friday's rookie sessions, so they will miss out on track time at the new venue.
Enge added: "I was training for Daytona and the whole season when I got the call that I would race in New Zealand.
"It is a change to my plan but I am happy to be there. The track is interesting, and everyone will start from scratch."
