Ekstrom targets RoC hat-trick
Mattias Ekstrom has already set his sights on becoming the first man to win the Race of Champions three years in a row
The Swede won his second straight Champion of Champions crown by beating Michael Schumacher in the final at Wembley on Sunday, and he plans to go back again next year.
"When I look at this trophy, I see some guys have won it two times in a row, but I don't see any that have won it three consecutive years," Ekstrom told autosport.com.
"I think I will have to come back, it would be great to become the first person to achieve something like that."
Ekstrom added that his 2007 success felt no different to his maiden triumph last year, which came at the end of a difficult season in the DTM.
"This event is just the same for me," he added. "Last year it was nice, because when you have a bad year people start to doubt you, but that doesn't mean I was more relaxed this year because I won the DTM title.
"But if I go on to win the DTM title and the Race of Champions again next year, I'm not sure what I can do after that!"
