Bratt quickest at Snetterton test
Will Bratt was in a class of his own at Snetterton as he topped official Formula 2 testing at the circuit on Tuesday
The British driver set the pace in three of the four sessions held on the Norfolk track's '300' layout, and emerged quickest in a time of 1m38.044s set in the last of them, during which drivers were allowed use of the championship's overboost facility.
"I'm very pleased with how things have gone today," said Bratt. "I managed to nail a quick lap on the boost in the final session as if it were a qualifying scenario and actually put in two quick lap times. I think I could have gone quicker as well which is encouraging.
"I was feeling confident before but now I'm even more so heading into [the next round at] Spa and providing nothing goes wrong I reckon two wins is very possible."
Miki Monras was 0.430s slower in second, while Jack Clarke and Mirko Bortolotti - who was the only man other than Bratt to top a session - completed the top four.
Alex Brundle and Jon Lancaster were next up, ahead of Tobias Hegewald and Mihai Marinescu. F2 newcomer Jordan King and Thiemo Storz completed the top 10.
Championship leader Christopher Zanella was absent from the test due to exam commitments.
