Audi Leads at 4 Hour Mark

Marco Werner currently leads the 12 Hours of Sebring after four hours of running in the first Audi R8, 40 seconds ahead of Frank Biela in the sister car.

The Audi pair are the only cars on the lead lap. Butch Leitzinger in the Dyson Lola is one lap down, and the next car is the current GT1 leader Olivier Beretta in the Corvette C6-R running ahead of his sister car and the Aston Martin pair, all five laps down on Werner.

Werner's teammate JJ Lehto and Emanuele Pirro in the other Audi ran each other close on track from the green flag, Pirro initially ahead until a driver change saw an extremely tight lead change as the new pair came out of the pits together.

Ian Mitchell comfortably leads the P2 category in his Courage C-65, nine laps off the overall lead, with his nearest category competitor, Chris McMurry in the sister Courage, thirteen laps off his pace.

Jorg Bergmeister leads the GT2 class in the White Lightning Porsche, a lap up from his nearest competitor Jon Fogarty.

Controversial entrant Maserati is well off the pace, running 24 laps off the overall lead and 19 behind GT1 class leader Beretta.
