DTM - Norisring: Best news of the weekend so far (for one AUTOSPORT reporter anyway) is that legendary disco act Earth, Wind and Fire will be special guests of BMW this weekend.

DTM - Norisring: Rosberg Audi driver Filipe Albuquerque has just announced that he will be racing in the next round of the Superstars GT Sprint Series at the Algarve circuit with the MTM Audi team.
You may remember he won the GT class at the Daytona 24 Hours earlier this year in an R8, so he should fly in that event.

IndyCar - Toronto: And there's the chequered flag. Ryan Hunter-Reay finishes on top, and Josef Newgarden jumped up to second on his final lap. Ryan Briscoe, Tristan Vautier and Marco Andretti complete the top five.
European F3 - Norisring: Just two thousandths of a second separate the top three on the grid for race one.
Further down the order there were terrific efforts from F3 debutant Nick Cassidy - ninth for EuroInternational - and from Rosenqvist's Mucke Motorsport team-mate Roy Nissany - 11th.

European F3 - Norisring: Raffaele Marciello and Alex Lynn both look incredibly impressive through the left-handed entrance to the Esses; both having trouble with traffic, as you might expect with 28 cars on a 1.4-mile circuit.

IndyCar - Toronto: Dario Franchitti has stopped at the exit of Turn 6. There's a bit of damage to his car, so presumably he's found the wall at the exit of Turn 5.
Auto GP - Mugello: Karthiekyan has moved to the head of the timing screens. The Indian posted a lap of 1m34.888s on his first flying lap of the session to go P1, and lowered his effort by two tenths on his next tour.
IndyCar - Toronto: Jakes's stint at the top is brought to an end by Ryan Hunter-Reay, with Ryan Briscoe - back this weekend with Panther - in second. There are just under 20 minutes left.
European F3 - Norisring: The first qualifying session is underway. Remember it's a pair of 20-minute sessions with Q1 deciding the grids for races one and two based on fastest and second-fastest times.
Auto GP - Mugello: It's a trio of Italians at the top. Ghirelli has lowered his previous best to record a time of 1m35.395s. Virtuosi UK's Andrea Roda is two tenths adrift in second spot, ahead of Silverstone's on-the-road winner Kevin Giovesi.
IndyCar - Toronto: Toronto commentators are declaring that current points leader Helio Castroneves is "in every sense of the word a champion". Every sense, that is, aside from the literal.
IndyCar - Toronto: No changes at the top of the screens, and not a lot to report at the moment. The main bit of intrigue is the tyre stack at Turn 5 that Tony Kanaan brushed and dragged to the edge of the kerb, although as things stand it's just off the racing line.
Auto GP - Mugello: Testing pacesetter Vittorio Ghirelli, making the most of a fresh engine fitted after the preceding round at Silverstone, leads the way in FP1.

Auto GP - Mugello: We're green for the first Auto GP free practice session this afternoon. The intensive running on Friday, some three hours and 25 minutes, combined with warm temperatures in Tuscany, could prove testing for driver fitness.

IndyCar - Toronto: Turn 3 again, and this time it's Will Power. He didn't hit anything, but the car has stalled. Jakes still leads the timing screens ahead of Dario Franchitti.
Auto GP - Mugello: As a result of van Buuren's test work in high temperatures at Vallelunga last week, all of the Auto GP cars have now undergone modifications to improve cooling.

Auto GP - Mugello: Meindert van Buuren has confirmed to AUTOSPORT that it was Turn 8 where he suffered his off-track excursion in the second Auto GP test. The incident briefly brought out the red flags.
IndyCar - Toronto: Another near-miss in Turn 3, this time for Takuma Sato. Just over half an hour into the session, the leader is James Jakes.
IndyCar - Toronto: Bit of a moment for Dario Franchitti, who locks up going into Turn 3. He managed to keep the car off the wall, and has gotten himself going again. The Scot is currently P2 behind Sebastien Bourdais.

IndyCar - Toronto: IndyCar race director Beaux Barfield is not in Toronto this weekend for personal reasons, and Brian Barnhart is calling the two races instead. Barfield will be back for Mid-Ohio.
