In Auto GP, Narain Karthikeyan just edged Kevin Giovesi in Italy to claim a second consecutive pole position.
And Briton Jack Hawksworth survived an early-session crash to take Indy Lights pole.

MotoGP - Sachsenring: So Marquez takes pole, Rossi secures a first front-row start since Portugal 2010, while Espargaro manages to beat Hayden, Smith and Bautista to fifth.
The drama hasn't finished there however - we still await news of whether Dani Pedrosa will be fit to compete in tomorrow's race. The Spaniard reportedly has a small hairline fracture, massive bruising and a lump on his head following his earlier crash.

IndyCar - Toronto: The Lights cars managed to stop crashing long enough for the session to be completed, and Jack Hawksworth has secured pole ahead of Carlos Munoz.

Auto GP - Mugello: After holding provisional pole position for over half of today's qualifying session, Vittorio Ghirelli has explained to AUTOSPORT events in the final five minutes, during which he slipped to third on the grid.
IndyCar - Toronto: The mess from the Veach/Dempsey incident is still being mopped up, but as things stand the provisional pole-sitter is Jack Hawksworth, who has been quick all weekend. The Brit actually hit the wall on his out lap at the start of the session, but has been able continue after having a new front wing fitted. There's currently 15 minutes still on the clock.
