FR3.5 - Nurburgring: No action taken regarding the incidents further back in the pack on that opening lap. But the Turn 1 investigation is ongoing, and we've had a new message from race control that it's now being investigated as an "incident between cars 1 and 4" - that's Sainz and Rowland.

European F3 - Moscow Raceway: As a postscript to Esteban Ocon's domination in Russia, it's worth us plugging this week's AUTOSPORT magazine, which has a two-page feature on the young Frenchman. It tells the story of a lad from a relatively humble background - his parents spent a pittance on his karting career - rising onto the F1 radar through talent, dedication and being a great guy to work with. FR3.5 - Nurburgring: No surprise to learn that all of those first lap incidents are under investigation. We're yet to get a decent look at the second collision, which occurred between Turns 2 and 3.

FR3.5 - Nurburgring: We're racing again here. Race leader Merhi made a bit of a mess of the restart by accelerating way too early and catching the safety car before it had even reached the final chicane.
However, he backed the field up again, and when he finally went for it only second-placed Vaxiviere reacted, leaving his Lotus team-mate Stockinger napping in third. Sirotkin and Amberg complete the top five at the moment.

World RX - Mettet: Peugeot driver Timmy Hansen was fastest in heat four at the sixth round of the World Rallycross Championship at Mettet in Belgium as rain fell.
Toomas Heikkinen (pictured) was second to top the Intermediate Classification, ahead of Marklund VW team-mate Anton Marklund.
Johan Kristoffersson was again fast and lines up third after the four heats, while Petter Solberg was fourth fastest, the same position he holds heading into the semi finals.
Notable names to miss the top 12 and qualification for the semis include Francios Duval, Edward Sandstrom, Jacques Villeneuve and championship frontrunner Andreas Bakkerud, who failed to finish all but one heat race in Belgium.

FR3.5 - Nurburgring: It was the slightest of contacts between Tunjo and Rowland, and it's hard to judge if Sainz - who was on the outside of them both - would have been clipped by Rowland anyway.

FR3.5 - Nurburgring: It's a mess of a start here, two multi-car incidents mean we only have 16 of the 22 cars still running behind the safety car.

Moto2 - Sachsenring: Having a 26-point championship lead is obviously giving Rabat some confidence - he's having a ferociously close battle for third with Corsi and in particular Morbidelli.

FR3.5 - Nurburgring: Formation lap is underway, with 21 of the 22 cars getting off the line. Newcomer Cameron Twynham stalls, but his Comtec mechanics get the car fired up and he's on his way to catch up to the tail of the field.

NASCAR - New Hampshire: Brad Keselowski had a perfect day on Saturday.
He topped both Sprint Cup practice sessions, then took Nationwide pole and dominated that race. The only thing that went wrong all day was when he dropped the American flag while doing victory burnouts (pictured).
Kyle Busch was Keselowski's main opponent in the Nationwide race, and he'll be the man to beat in today's Cup round too, having taken pole on Friday.
Keselowski starts only seventh for that one, with Jimmie Johnson alongside Busch on the front row, and watch for Tony Stewart - yet to win since last year's leg injury - in fourth on the grid.

Moto2 - Sachsenring: Rabat just went very, very, very wide in a failed bid to repass Morbidelli. He somehow gets back on line still ahead of Zarco.

Moto2 - Sachsenring: Now it's Johann Zarco challenging Rabat for sixth. Zarco's Caterham MotoGP team is still owned by Tony Fernandes, unlike the Caterham Formula 1 team.
Caterham's motorbike racing effort got off to a low-key start, and Zarco's team-mate Josh Herrin has had a miserable, crash and injury packed, first season in the world championship after coming across as AMA champion, but Zarco is now a consistent frontrunner again. FR3.5 - Nurburgring: The first of our headline events today isn't far away, with the second Formula Renault 3.5 race from the Nurburgring just under half an hour from now.
Red Bull's rising star Carlos Sainz Jr won yesterday amid a late rain shower, and there was a wet track again this morning for second qualifying - mastered by ex-DTM man and 2011 European F3 champion Roberto Merhi.

Moto3 - Sachsenring: Jack Miller celebrates by parking, climbing over the barriers and up a steep grass bank to greet some fans, then sliding back down the bank exactly like most kids in the world want to do when offered a big, steep, slippery grass bank.

Moto3 - Sachsenring: Onto the last lap, Miller is 0.173s ahead of Binder for the lead, and Marquez is still getting massive headaches from Masbou for third.

Moto3 - Sachsenring: Niccolo Antonelli does a lot of crashing. He's just done some more. This time though he did it while sixth rather than while nowhere, so that'll please his boss Fausto Gresini even less.

Moto3 - Sachsenring: Not going well for Marquez: he retook third from Masbou, then got too close to the back of Binder several corners later and had to run wide, letting both Kent and Masbou past him.
So with four laps left, Miller leads and of his title rivals Marquez is fifth, Vazquez seventh and both Rins and Fenati out.

Moto3 - Sachsenring: The top five bikes are right together again with six laps left, and Masbou just grabbed third from Marquez.

Moto3 - Sachsenring: The 13-bike battle for sixth has been remarkably clean so far, but top contenders Karel Hanika (Miller's team-mate and fellow Red Bull protege) and Miguel Oliveira just collided at the bottom of the hill. Both are OK.

European F3 - Moscow Raceway: So it's an easy win for Ocon, from Fuoco, Blomqvist, Auer, King, Dennis, Rosenqvist, Latifi, van de Laar and Menezes.
Moto3 - Sachsenring: Marquez takes third back from Kent at the bottom of the hill. He's got a 0.7s gap to close now to rejoin Miller and Binder and there are still 11 laps to go.
