Superstars - Slovakiaring: AUTOSPORT caught up with Tonio Liuzzi after qualifying yesterday...

Superstars - Slovakiaring: Just over half an hour until race one gets underway here. Bad news for Gianni Morbidelli and his four-wheel-drive Audi is that there are clear blue skies overhead.
Red flag
WTCC - Moscow: Red flags, the race has been halted.
Marshals having to pull Ng's heavily-damaged car away by hand - apparently the rescue vehicle needs rescuing, hence the red flag.

Great night at the Slovakiaring yesterday courtesy of Superstars. A band and barbecue were the highlights.
WTCC - Moscow: Safety car out for the start of the second lap as a result of that first lap contact.
Darryl O'Young and Nikolai Karamyshev were also caught up in that crash. Both have limped back to the pits, which is big given teams have around 30 minutes turnaround between today's two races. Officials can add up to two laps onto the planned 13 to compensate for the safety car.
It looks like Ng spun and was collected by Barth. The former is due to start from second for race two - should he not make that, Michel Nykjaer would take the spot. The field comes round for its third lap under yellows.

WTCC - Moscow: But while drivers and seemingly the entire paddock waited in line, AUTOSPORT went for a quick rave at a paddock disco.
Apparently the DJ's brother races in the Russian championship, and he brings this massive stage to every event.
And no, he doesn't let the fact there's no crowd put him off...
WTCC - Moscow: There's an absolute wealth (an apposite word in more ways than one) of guests here this weekend, and today's grid is one of the busiest so far this year. The customary autograph session took almost an hour today, although it was at least nice weather for it.
Euro RX - Kouvala: Finnish driver Silvo Vitenen retired from heat two yesterday with front left wheel failure, and same again this morning in the warm-up.

WTCC - Moscow: Talking of Tarquini, Honda hasn't had to change a thing on his Civic ahead of race one. There were fears after this morning's warm-up that he had suffered the same electrical water pump failure that forced team-mate Tiago Monteiro to miss qualifying and subsequently change his engine, but Honda has confirmed to AUTOSPORT that the team was simply being cautious and that Tarquini has a clean bill of health.
WTCC - Moscow: We've had seven different winners from the opening 10 races this year, with today's front three - Yvan Muller, Tom Coronel and Rob Huff - all having triumphed at least once.
In the championship standings though no-one has been able to match Muller's consistency, with the Frenchman already 80 points clear of the field. Gabriele Tarquini, his nearest rival, starts today's first race from fifth.

In case you missed it, Helio Castroneves won the Texas IndyCar race last night, moving into the championship lead.
Le Mans - Test Day: It's dank, dark and miserable, and just about still raining two hours into the test. The majority of the cars have taken to the track and it's an Audi 1-2 at the top of the times. The #1 car leads the way, 1s up on the #3 car. Not much to read into the times yet. The Chevy Corvettes have only just gone out.
WTCC - Moscow: We're less than 20 minutes away from the series' first race in Russia, and the good news (for some) is that it is most definitely dry - in fact, its scorching.
Expect that to particularly suit Tom Coronel, who said he would be doing an anti-rain dance all night (alongside some other comments we can't actually write).

BTCC - Oulton Park: Honda/Dynamics boss Steve Neal reckons Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal couldn't have got more from their Civics in qualifying, given the success ballast and baseline boost level they are running.
"The weight here makes all the difference because of the up and down braking and accelerating," he told AUTOSPORT.

That ninth place is an eye-catching position for McDowell and the small Phil Parsons Racing team.

IndyCar - Texas: Earlier we mentioned that 2002 Daytona 500 winner Ward Burton's son Jeb won his first NASCAR Truck race at Texas last night.
On the subject of Ward, here's what AUTOSPORT's US editor Mark Glendenning got up to between covering IndyCar sessions yesterday...
"For a journalist, race weekends fall into one of two categories: Those where you don't get driven around Texas Motor Speedway by 2002 Daytona 500 winner Ward Burton, and those where you do. This weekend turned out to be one of the latter."

Tiago Monteiro WTCC 2013
WTCC - Moscow: More bad news for Tiago Monteiro - Honda has been forced to change his engine due to the technical issues that blighted his FP2 and qualifying.
Daisuke Horiuchi, WTCC Project Leader at Honda R&D, said: "We had issues with the water cooling system, [and] decided to change the engine as a precautionary measure."
Monteiro, who had qualified 22nd, will be put to the back of the grid as a result. Full qualifying report here.

WTCC - Moscow: Campos will occupy the back of the grid for tomorrow's two races after both Fernando Monje and newcomer Nikolai Karamyshev had their times disallowed. Monje, who was 14th fastest, failed a ride height check, while Karamyshev didn't immediately stop at the weighing bay.
Superstars - Slovakiaring: Half-way mark of qualifying and Tonio Liuzzi has just gone fastest. He's into 2m10s bracket now – almost two seconds faster than he was in FP2.
