European F3 - Nurburgring: A terrific scrap in the complex starts with Rosenqvist diving down the inside of Tincknell and forcing the Carlin man wide at Turn 3.
That then puts Tincknell on the ideal line for Turn 4, which forces Lewis wide and drops the American two places.

MotoGP - Indianapolis: Alex Rins has just extended his Moto3 pole margin to 0.311s over new second-place man Miguel Oliveira halfway through the session.
Maverick Vinales is third, followed by Jonas Folger, Jack Miller, Alex Marquez and then points leader Luis Salom.

Auto GP - Nurburgring: Auto GP debutant Roberto La Rocca explained to AUTOSPORT the decision to stop his Formula 3 Open campaign had been long-standing.
"I contested the second half of last year in F3 and the start of this season," said La Rocca. "It was always the plan just to do a year before progressing, so that is why I changed to Auto GP."

Auto GP - Nurburgring: Comtec by Virtuosi driver Roberto La Rocca will start Sunday's reversed-grid race two from pole position after finishing eighth in this afternoon's opener.
Team and driver are making their debut appearance in Auto GP this weekend.
La Rocca started the season in European F3 Open for West-Tec.

Auto GP - Nurburgring: Super Nova team manager John Sears reports that the race one winning car of Narain Karthikeyan has cleared post-race technical checks.

European F3 - Nurburgring: Nissany spun exiting the corner, Wolf then ploughing into the side of him as the Israeli attempted to rejoin the track.
It looked like a pretty rubbish incident, but in fairness to Wolf, the track drops away dramatically at the Turn 1 apex, so it's unlikely he'd have seen the Mucke car until it was too late.

European F3 - Nurburgring: Safety car is out to clear up a collision between Roy Nissany and Lucas Wolf at Turn 1.
MotoGP - Indianapolis: Moto3 qualifying is in its early stages. Maverick Vinales was quickest in the last two practice sessions, but it's Alex Rins on provisional pole right now.
Aspar's Eric Granado just had an odd crash in which he kept his bike upright during a wobble through some deep gravel and then fell just as he was about to get back on track.

NASCAR - Michigan: Despite that practice crash dumping him to the back of the grid in his back-up car, Jimmie Johnson and crew chief Chad Knaus are still pretty bullish:

NASCAR: Elsewhere in the NASCAR world, the Nationwide Series is still in road course mode this weekend and making its debut at Mid-Ohio.
Last weekend AUTOSPORT got very excited about Michael McDowell's star underdog showing in the Cup road course race at Watkins Glen.
He's on form again this weekend, beating AJ Allmendinger to pole at Mid-Ohio.

NASCAR - Michigan: Jimmie Johnson was fastest in the final practice session this afternoon, but along the way he crashed and put his primary car out of action.
That means he'll have to start last in his back-up Hendrick Chevy tomorrow afternoon.
Practice three results: 1 Johnson; 2 Montoya; 3 Biffle; 4 Kurt Busch; 5 Gordon; 6 Dillon; 7 Burton; 8 Bowyer; 9 Kahne; 10 Stenhouse.

That's the fate that has befallen Ben Spies, who has been ruled out for the rest of the Indianapolis weekend after dislocating his left shoulder in practice this morning.
With three races in as many weekends coming up now, you have to feel incredibly sorry for Spies, who was only yesterday celebrating how great it felt to be able to ride with two working arms again.

DTM - Nurburgring: The officials have decided to take no further action against Marco Wittmann, so the rookie's second place on the grid stands.
MTEK BMW driver Wittmann had been investigated for a pit rules infringement during qualifying, specifically turning into his pit box too soon.
FIA GT - Slovakia Ring: Rene Rast claims the pole for tomorrow's qualifying race. The WRT man ends up on top by a couple of tenths from Loeb McLaren drivers Mike Parisy and Alvaro Parente in second and third respectively.
Laurens Vanthoor, the pacesetter in free practice and Q2, ends up fourth in the second WRT Audi, with Stefan Rosina fifth aboard his Reiter Lambo.
